The Garden City Beach community offers a marina, restaurants, amusements, a fantastic fishing pier, and creek walk spanning the picturesque salt marsh, among many other things. While the beautiful shoreline is the area’s number one attraction, the 668-foot long fishing pier serves as the heart of the community. It's an angler's paradise during the day and offers live music during the summer evenings, along with a marina, amusements, restaurants and other businesses. The Garden City Pavilion Arcade is a hub of family-friendly fun, offering lots to do during hours not spent on the beach, including the chance to win one of many prizes. The arcade is free to enter and is also home to a yummy snack shop. But whether you’re listening to live music on the pier during a summer night, or taking advantage of the area’s arcade, there’s plenty to love about Garden City Beach.

But the small beach community is also home to a number of specialty gift stores perfect for picking up souvenirs, along with other shops. Everyone knows that the Myrtle Beach area is home to over 100 championship golf courses, making Garden City Beach’s proximity to this golfer’s mecca ideal. However, Garden City Beach actually is home to Indian Wells Golf Club, voted 2004-2005 Golf Course of the Year by the Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course Owners Association. Golfers playing Indian Wells continue to rave about the appearance and layout, which reminds many of a traditional U.S. Open-style course that places a premium on creative shot-making.
